Easy Word to Pages!

So excited to find a way to export Word documents from my laptop without having to change the format for iPad! File Transfer opens on both devices, connects via Wi-Fi, then you just drag the Word document onto the laptop icon and it appears on the iPad. After that, you tap the document, click on Export "To other App," and put it in Pages. I did it both ways and the one I changed to Pages before exporting looks the same as the one I left as a Word document before the transfer.
My only complaint would be that the Tutorial doesnt explain how to do this, but I emailed the company and got a response within an hour! Kudos for customer service!
